Keep what you have done
Everything on this site works without one. An account is for seeing your own record from another phone — the kind things you have marked, and the chains you started.
It is worth knowing what it changes: with an account, this site holds a link between you and each kind thing you record. Whether anybody else sees your name is your choice, act by act, but that is a decision about what is shown rather than what is kept. The whole of it.
Signing in and signing up are the same thing here. If we have seen that address before you get your account back; if we have not, you get a new one.
