BeingKind

Be the second person to volunteer

The first person to speak up takes all the risk. The second one makes it safe for everyone after.

Why it lands

In any room, the first person to raise a hand, admit confusion or disagree with the senior voice is exposed — and if nobody follows, they are marked. The second voice changes it from an outlier into a position. It costs almost nothing because the risk has already been absorbed, and it is the single most useful thing a bystander can do in a meeting.

How

Speak immediately after them and be explicit: “I had the same question” or “I agree with Nadia and here's why.” Say their name, so the credit stays attached. Do not restate their point as your own.

Nobody has marked this one yet. You could be the first.
