Why it lands
A predictable income stream lets an organization hire, sign a lease and commit to a service; the same money arriving unpredictably lets them do none of those. Fundraisers say this constantly and donors keep giving in lumps, because lumps are emotionally satisfying and monthly payments are boring. The boring version is worth substantially more per pound.

Set it up as a direct debit to the charity rather than through a platform that takes a cut. Add Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer — it is 25% more at no cost to you. Pick an amount low enough that you will never cancel it.
