Take one regular journey off the car
Not driving less in general. One specific trip you make every week, done another way, permanently.

Why it lands
Resolutions to drive less fail for the same reason most environmental resolutions fail: they are general, so every individual trip is an exception. One named journey — the Thursday shop, the school run, the station — can be changed once and then stays changed, because it becomes how that trip is done. Short trips are also the least efficient miles a car does, so the specific journeys easiest to replace are the ones worth most.
How
Pick the journey you make most often that is under two miles. Work out the alternative properly once — the walking time is usually shorter than people assume, and the bus route is usually more direct. Then commit to that one trip and leave every other journey alone.
