Answer the question that has been sitting unanswered
Someone asked in a channel two days ago and nobody replied. The silence is worse than a no.

Why it lands
An unanswered question in a shared channel is read by its author as a verdict on them — too basic, too annoying, not worth the time. It is almost always none of those; it is that everyone assumed someone better qualified would answer. Meanwhile they are blocked and learning that asking here does not work, which is how teams quietly become places where nobody asks anything.
How
Answer even if you are not the expert: “Not certain, but I think it's X — worth checking with Sam.” A partial answer beats silence and usually flushes out the right one. If you genuinely cannot help, say who can, which is still an answer.
