BeingKind

Vouch for someone you have only met online

People build real reputations in communities that are invisible to employers. Saying so out loud transfers it.

The BeingKind editorsPublished How this is written

Why it lands

A lot of genuine competence now exists only inside forums, repositories and group chats — places no hiring manager will ever look. The person who has been quietly excellent there has no way to convert that into anything legible. Someone willing to say publicly that they have worked with them and vouch for the standard performs a translation nobody else can.

How

Be concrete about what you actually saw and over what period, since that is what makes it credible. Offer to speak to someone directly rather than only writing it. Tell them you have done it, so they can point people at it.

Nobody has marked this one yet. You could be the first.
