Local knowledge is a real financial asset accumulated over years, and its absence is expensive — people new to an area get overcharged, pick badly and waste weekends. Sharing your list costs nothing and transfers something you spent a decade acquiring. It is also one of the few forms of help that carries no whiff of charity.
