Supermarket aisles are barely wide enough for two trolleys, and a trolley left across one while somebody reads a label forces anyone on wheels to reverse the length of the aisle — which is slow, difficult and requires asking people to move. The person doing it is not being inconsiderate; they simply have no idea anyone behind them cannot get past.

Pull the trolley alongside you rather than leaving it across. Glance behind before stopping. If someone needs to get past, move the trolley yourself instead of just standing aside.
