Commit to one lift a week for a year

A standing weekly lift is worth more than a dozen spontaneous offers, because it can be planned around.

Why it lands

Sporadic help cannot be built into a life. A carer arranging a hospital appointment, a class or an hour off needs to know now that the transport exists in three weeks' time. A recurring, dependable commitment — even a small one — converts into something they can schedule against, which is the difference between help and goodwill.

How

Name the day and make it recurring: “Every Tuesday at ten, for as long as it's useful.” Put it in your calendar as a repeat. If you have to miss one, arrange the cover yourself rather than handing the problem back.

Nobody has marked this one yet. You could be the first.
