BeingKind

Leave credit on the machine behind you

A parking meter, a laundry card, a photo booth. The next person gets a small unearned piece of luck.

Why it lands

Unused prepaid time is otherwise reclaimed by a machine, which is the least useful possible destination for it. Passing it on is completely anonymous in both directions — you will never know who got it and they will never know who left it — which makes it a clean test of motive. Small, arbitrary good luck from nowhere is also disproportionately memorable, precisely because it cannot be reciprocated.

How

Leave the ticket on the machine or hand it to whoever is arriving. Put spare coins on top of the laundry machine rather than pocketing them. Do not wait to see who takes it.

Nobody has marked this one yet. You could be the first.
