Take back two trolleys instead of one

Collecting trolleys in the rain is somebody's whole shift. Two at a time halves a specific, miserable job.

Why it lands

Trolley collection is outdoor, year-round, low-status work that exists entirely because of how other people behave. Nothing about it is necessary; every abandoned trolley is a decision somebody made. Taking an extra one costs you about fifteen seconds and is the rare case where an individual act directly reduces another person's workload rather than symbolically gesturing at it.

How

Grab the nearest stray on your way back and nest it with yours. If it is a wheel-locking type, push it to the edge of the bay rather than fighting it. In a car park with a collector working, hand them the pair rather than leaving them.
