BeingKind

Send the thing that reminded you of them

A link with 'this is so you' is proof you thought about someone when they were not there. That is the whole message.

Why it lands

Most contact between friends is logistical or reciprocal — arranging something, replying to something. An unprompted share is different in kind: it is evidence that the person occupied space in your head while you were doing something unrelated. That is precisely what people mean when they say they feel thought of, and it costs eight seconds.

How

Send it the moment you think of it rather than saving it for a proper catch-up that will not happen. Say why: “This is exactly the argument you were making in 2019.” Expect no reply and do not require one.
