Why it lands
Uncaptioned video excludes deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers entirely, and auto-captions are frequently wrong in ways that make content unintelligible or absurd. The correction takes minutes because the machine has done most of it. It also increases how many people watch at all, which means the accessible version is simply the better version.

Generate the automatic captions, then read them and fix the errors — names, jargon and numbers are where they fail. Add a plain-text summary alongside for anyone who would rather read than watch.
