Find the subscriptions someone forgot about

Most households pay for several things nobody uses. Finding them is an hour's work and a permanent saving.

Why it lands

Subscription creep is designed to be invisible — small amounts, annual renewals, and cancellation flows built to be tedious. For someone struggling, elderly or simply overwhelmed, the accumulated total can be meaningful money leaving every month for nothing. It is dull, entirely tractable work that almost nobody does for themselves and that a second person can do in an afternoon.

How

Go through a bank statement line by line with them and list every recurring payment. Cancel the dead ones together rather than for them, so they know how. Check the annual ones too, which hide for eleven months at a time.

Nobody has marked this one yet. You could be the first.
